A Night to Remember at Firefly Restaurant PCB

During our recent visit to Panama City Beach, we had the pleasure of dining at Firefly, and it was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere set the tone for a relaxed yet elegant evening. We requested reservations for two at the bar—a request many places don’t typically accommodate—but Firefly went above and beyond. They were more than happy to reserve our spots, which instantly made us feel welcome.

The service was truly remarkable. Even though we were seated at the bar, we felt as if we had the attention of an entire team. Four different staff members took care of us, ensuring our water glasses were never empty, checking on our drinks, and always making sure we had everything we needed. It was some of the best service we’ve ever experienced.

Now, let's talk about the bar—impressive is an understatement. Their bourbon selection was extensive, with a well-rounded variety of specialty cocktails and wines by the glass or bottle. It was clear they’ve curated their offerings with care. The vibe and ambiance around the bar were perfect—relaxed yet refined, making it an ideal spot for casual yet elevated dining.

Before our meal arrived, we were treated to their pre-meal bread plate, which was a delightful surprise. It came with three accompanying spreads, and our favorites were the savory mushroom spread and the sweet berry butter. We could have easily made a meal out of that alone!

For our main course, we opted for sushi, and it did not disappoint. The "Van Halen" roll was a standout—it was fresh, flavorful, and expertly prepared. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Firefly. As for drinks, I ordered an Old Fashioned made with Old Forester Statesman bourbon. It was, without a doubt, one of the best-balanced cocktails I’ve had in any restaurant.

We ended our meal with their coconut almond tart for dessert. It was the perfect mix of decadent and delightful, leaving us fully satisfied but wishing we could savor it just a little longer.
